Guest arrival is very common in our daily lives but most of them prefer to stay overnight in our home. I have seen people going insane when they hear about guests that are coming and will stay overnight. They rush madly here and there to prepare the guest room but they mostly end up either in mess or a low valued guest room. The reason behind it is that they have not organized a guest room for emergency cases and they are unable to determine what items they will be in need of.

Room Cleaning:

First of all you need to clean the guest room appropriately so that your guests may not feel a cluttered or dusty look. Remove all the clutter from the room and dust the room properly. You may also mop or vacuum the room. Clean the mirrors especially because the guests will surely use the mirror.

Special attention to Bed:

For guests, the first and foremost important thing in the room that matters is the bed. They need a comfortable bed to rest so that they may get recharged after the long travel. In addition to comfortable bed, you need to make a wise decision about the type of bed depending upon the frequency of arrival of guests. If you have guests too often then obtain a full standard bed but if you are having guest arrival very infrequent then obtain a foldable guest bed or modern sofa bed because it gets assembled and you may utilize the space later.

Ample storage space:

Keep in mind that your guests will have luggage with them and they will be in need of sufficient space to put their belongings. So you are required to clean up some space so that your guests may place their items there. Keep a number of drawers and cabinets empty. Moreover, hang some extra hangers in the cabinet so that guest may hang their clothes.

 Bathroom Cleaning:

If your guest room is having an attached bath, then clean the bathroom with due care. Make sure that your guest room bath is having sufficient soap, shampoo, toilet roll and towel. These things are the basics which must be there is the bathroom before guest arrival.
